10 Minute French Doors

Corona virus sucks. Bi-fold doors also suck. Here is your opportunity during quarantine to convert your bi-fold doors into 10 minute French
Doors, all for under $10.

Materials

4 – metal brackets (2 per door) A few bucks each.

1 – door magnet These are less than a buck.

These items are found at Home Depot, or maybe they can be an additional DIY project for you!

Process

Step 1 – Remove the roller at the top of the inside doors. This roller will allow the doors to open along the back pivot point.

Remove roller at the top of the door.

Step 2 – Attach metal brackets between the 2 doors that make up each “bi-fold” section.

Screwed metal brackets at the top and bottom of the joint between the bi-fold doors.

Step 3 – Install magnet to the frame opening and to each door.

Attach the magnet to the top of the center of the frame, and shim as necessary in order to match the door elevation.
Bi-fold doors.
Now, they are 10 minute (and $10) French Doors.
