12 Days of Christmas: Chai Tea Latte Mix

Who doesn’t love a good chai tea latte from Starbucks?! If you haven’t had one, I recommend you give this chai tea latte mix a try!

As you probably know, Starbucks can be expensive, especially if you are ordering specialty drinks like a chai tea latte. This is a recipe for chai tea latte mix that I’ve modified and will be sharing below. It makes a great Christmas gift for a friend or co-worker!

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup nonfat dry milk powder
  • 1 cup powdered nondairy creamer
  • One cup French vanilla powdered nondairy creamer
  • 1 1/2 c. granulated sugar
  • 1 1/2 c. Unsweetened instant tea
  • 4 tsp. ground ginger
  • 4 1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon
  • 2 1/4 tsp. ground cardamom
  • 2 1/4 tsp. ground cloves
These are what the ingredients look like

If you have trouble finding the instant tea at the grocery store like I did because most tea mixes include lemon, buy it online here. If you want decaffeinated tea, click here.

Directions:

  1. Measure out all the ingredients into a food processor or blender. You’ll need room for 6 cups!
  2. Blend everything together to make a fine powder.
  3. Pour out into Mason jars and cross some people off your Christmas list!

Katie’s modification: the first time I made this I thought it was too sweet. I’ve doubled all the spices in this recipe to balance out the sweetness.

Before you give it all away, don’t forget to make yourself a cup. 3 tablespoons of mix to one cup of hot water. Cheers!
