Ever find yourself with friends coming over and you haven’t planned a thing? Yeah, me too!
In these all too often scenarios, it’s important to have a few go to recipes.
Enter, the underused beer can chicken.
What you’ll need:
- A chicken
- A can of anything (beer, juice, etc.)
- Spices (anything will do. Try brown sugar, paprika, garlic powder)
Alright you can whip this up in 70 minutes with little to no effort. Clean off that bird, lather her with olive oil, and throw any combination of the spices above on. You really can’t go wrong.
Empty that can until 2/3 full. You can try different liquids for different flavors. I like pure American Lager, but have used orange juice, apple juice. Drop that bird on the can, and on a pan to catch those glorious juices. You can pick up a rack from Amazon, I got this one for about 8 bucks! Or you get get the Lamborghini of beer can racks here!
Set your grill to 350°F and leave it uncovered until the bird reaches about 165°F. Should be about 70 minutes.
In a pinch, you have now achieved what you thought impossible…you’ve impressed your guests with little time and effort! You know what they say, fake it til you make it!
