Benjamin Moore Sail Cloth: The Perfect Neutral

Benjamin Moore Sail cloth really is the perfect neutral. I wanted our house to feel bright and airy, so I used a lot of neutrals in our color pallet. I love neutrals, but my husband has a thing against having too much gray (I know, I didn’t know there was such a thing either). Sail Cloth is more of a warm off-white – so he approved of this one, too.

By the way, the quality of Benjamin Moore paints is excellent. We had very few drips to contend with and it went on nice and thick. We like their “Regal Classic” line. It’s a bit thicker than the Regal Select so one coat usually does the trick. For most of the walls in our house, we went with a flat finish, except for the in bathrooms and kitchen.

Below is example of Benjamin Moore sail cloth on the walls of our family room. We love the way it contrasts with “Chantily Lace”, which we used for all of the molding in our house. It also looks really great with teal and aqua colors, so we went with aqua-colored curtains.

By the way, if you want to see how dark and drab our family room was BEFORE we repainted it, check out our post on the renovation here.
