Historical references tell us Thomas Jefferson enjoyed a cup of drinking chocolate in the evening. If you’re like TJ and love your drinking chocolate, then this recipe is for you!
Ingredients:
- 3 oz chocolate – 72% dark or darker
- 2.4 oz sugar
- 1.75 oz milk chocolate
- 1 oz cocoa
- 32 oz milk
1 ounce is equal to 2 Tablespoons.
Directions: warm milk, add ingredients and stir. Warm to 160 degrees and serve immediately.
If you serve this at a party, consider setting it up as a station for your guests to serve themselves. I used my Mikasa Parchment china and added a couple other desserts. Keep in mind, a little chocolate goes a long way.
Enjoy!
