DIY Easy Ultrasound Photo Shadowbox

When I was pregnant with my daughter, I was all about ultrasounds. The adorable ultrasound photos were my favorite! I really wanted to save them – so I put them in a shadow box along with a due date calendar. Here’s how I made this easy DIY ultrasound shadowbox with cheap supplies from Michael’s.

I bought a shadow box and paper background from Michaels and printed a calendar with my daughter’s due date inside a heart. The shadowbox did come with little sewing pins to keep all the pieces in place. They did work well, but there weren’t enough, so I had to dig into my personal stash. I recommend using the ones with the round, white heads so they don’t distract from the artwork.

Step 1: Secure the scrapbook paper background to the back of the shadowbox using pushpins

Step 2: Play around with the layout of the ultrasound photos and the due date calendar printout. Once you find a layout you like, just pin them in place and you’re done!

Here’s all the supplies I used for the DIY ultrasound shadowbox:

Shadowbox from Michaels
Tan heart scrapbook paper from Michaels (I like this tan hearts one, but you can use any scrapbook paper)
• Ultrasound photo strip
• A calendar I printed with a heart around my daughter’s due date
• Extra pushpins
