Refrigerator Filters

Last year we bought a new Whirlpool refrigerator. Whirlpool recommends changing the filter every 6 months and sells their branded filters for $50 each! I just purchased 3 of the same filters from Discountfilterstore.com for $30. The filters work just as well for a fraction of the price. There is no reason to waste your hard earned money to buy “branded” filters. I spent time reading reviews and comparing specs, and these filters come up sunshine and roses.

Don’t forget to also replace your “inline” filter. This filter is connected to the line feeding the fridge, probably in your basement. This filter is the one filtering your ice, the refrigerator filter is filter your water (when your ice maker is in the freezer.) Both filters are easy to replace so don’t even think about hiring someone.
